Pacific Salmon Foundation Marsh Symposium
Enda was invited to present at the Marsh Symposium in Victoria from November 20th to 22nd, 2024. It was fascinating to interact with experts from diverse backgrounds, and to learn about amazing coastal marsh restoration projects being undertaken by NGOs, First Nations, academic institutions, and government agencies in Washington State and British Columbia.

Pacific Workshop on Nature-based Coastal Solutions
Jeremy and Enda attended the Pacific Workshop on Nature-based Coastal Solutions in Vancouver from October 8-10, 2024. Two days of diverse and interesting presentations, and an excellent day of field trips to learn about nature-based solutions projects and initiatives in Burrard Inlet, including Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Nation reserve, and New Brighton Park.
Beneficial Use of Dredged Sediment at Sturgeon Bank
Enda and Jeremy had a unique opportunity to visit Sturgeon Bank on the day of dredged sediment placement via pipeline. Thanks to Eric, Jamie and Meagan from Ducks Unlimited Canada for facilitating our site visit.
38th International Conference on Coastal Engineering (ICCE2024), Rome
Enda attended ICCE2024 from 6-13 September in the Eternal City. Great fun meeting friends and former colleagues, and delicious pasta, pizza, and cappuccinos!
