Jeremy, Isaac, and Enda attended the Coastal Zone Canada Conference from June 9 – 11 at UPEI in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. Jeremy presented early findings from his master’s research on dredged sediment transport at Sturgeon Bank. Enda presented on storm surge and tide interactions in the Bay of Fundy, and freeze-up impacts at the Living Dike Pilot Project Site, British Columbia. He also participated in a panel discussion on “Bridging the gap between knowledge and practice in nature-based solutions” organized by the Great Lakes Chapter of the Coastal Zone Canada Association’s Nature-Based Coastal Solutions Community of Practice. A great few days of coastal research and collaboration on the island of red sand!
